what do u mean by judder, please explain, is the trans slipping? this code was a trans fluid overheat code.

Sounds like a fairly major transmission problem - go to an Auto Transmission Specialist - don't waste your time with an ordinary mechanic.

If you hit the Rev Limiter on a Ford, it will simply bounce the rev back down, to protect the Engine. So, no high Revs. But, you should be able to bring it slowly to a High RPM. That is normal. If there are no Check Engine Light on. You are most likely hitting the rev Limit and need to stop.

When accelorating. engine judders then picks up if revs kept high. the car is 2.2 56 plate
Mine does this. It's accompanied by what sounds like air escaping with a high pitched sound, usually when changing from first to second. Also, sometimes no grunt in first gear as if turbo not working, engine revs but car goes nowhere and then loads of black smoke comes out of back.

Hello there

If you drive an automatic and it starts to judder at low speeds than that means you transmission isn't down shifting as the speed is reduced. In the first instance you should get your transmission oil changed.

Whenever it rains my colt has trouble starting and when it does start the revs stay very low and when u put foot to the floor it slowly revs up and when it does finally go it judders along the road, after...
this because moisture is getting into you distributor. Handy trick spray with wd40 this will repel the moisture.
