Is there a knock in the engine? If the motor rattles, the knock sensor will think its pinging and retard the timing to compensate. This will set the code.
make sure the brake light switch on the brake pedal is reaching the arm, it sounds like your switch is too far back and the arm is not hitting it to shut off the lights
my truck(2007 silverado 5.3) died at red light got it started back and had knocking noise in engine and like not running on all 8 cylinders only 55000 mile barely made it back home, had to keep foot on gas and brake to keep it running, will not start unless i mash accelerator pedal,PLEASE HELP, I JUST BOUGHT THIS TRUCK
Check vacuum lines in area of master cylinder as well as fluid level. As far as valves rattling, are referring to engine knock upon acceleration? Have knock sensor checked and/or replaced.
