does the engine idle smoothly? is the service engine soon light on? the engine is running rich causing the blue smoke.it could be pcv valve but unlikely
posibly the gas pump brushes worn out.Try taping under the gas tank with a rubber malet while turning the engine over.If engine starts change the fuel pump .dont drive like this,it might not start a second time.
have local auto parts store check the battery, it may have a couple bad cells, which would reduce cranking amps... would still have enough to run lights etc., but just not enough juice to start the car...
