Since you said you changed the valve, I would move to the connector on the solenoid and make sure it is seating properly and not dirty at the contacts.

Testimonial: "I will try that and see if it make the trick. Thanks."

2005 magnum p0406 egr valve sensor code error

P0406 indicates high voltage on the EGR sensor circuit. this is recommended for every 30,000 miles be inspected. although EGR system do not requires periodic inspection. instead, check only if engine trouble's develop. most EGR's requires replacing EGR valve, cleaning passages and installing new vacuum hose. misrouted vacuum hose causes engine poor operation. so. not just to unplug it.

Error code P0406 & P2008. Any suggestion

by dillardw I had the code po406 in my 2005 chrysler town and country. I is problem in the EGR valve. I replaced the EGR valve. the valve is by the alternator on the 3.3L engine and has a tube going up and into the intake manifold on top of the engine. The valve cost $ 65.00 in 2008 at the dealer with discount it was cheaper than two after markets that i checked. I erased the dtc from the computer and have had no more problems with this. Of course the problem could be different on your vehicle. I hope this helps.

My check engine light came on and the code read p046, what is it?

Maybe you meant a P0406? That is an EGR code. It could be the EGR valve, solenoid or a wiring issue. Check that code again, P codes are always followed by 4 numbers.

I just change the spark plugs on my 2005 Town & Country, when I turned the van on the check engine light was on. Any Ideas as to why?

you may have accidently disconnected something. ie senser, vaccum line etc. I would just look to see if something is connected in the area I was working or something I removed to get to the plugs. good luck

2006 town and country check engine light is on. DTC P0406. Any advice?

According to my OBD2 reader manual a P0406 code means the Exhaust Recirculation Gas sensor is in fault. So it means that you have a problem with your EGR valve and/or sensor. So just change them, but be warned, even jobber model go for over 100$ normally, so might be an idea to scrounge around the scrap yards.
