Replace battery, starter, and alternator and car runs for a couple days then wont crank and start then let it sit for couple of days then starts. when running the mileage blinks at the stop light when in drive but doesn't do it when it is on the highway. no one know whats wrong with it. it has done it 5 times. please help
Sounds like your ECM / ECU may need to be re-flashed at the dealer, have you tried pulling the codes? The check engine light does NOT need to be on for it to have codes stored. The starting issue could be caused by the TPS / MAF / MAP sensors, the flashing of the odometer could be something with your PSOM chip or your VSS sensor. Pull the codes see what you get.

Coincedentally the bottom water hose of the radiator leaks, so must have been running hot.

The steering is powered by the crank by a v-belt, so, this only works with the engine turned on. Check all the gas supply lines (and fuel pump) and the electrical power from the distributor.

if the idling of your engine only dies off at first gear, you may have a clutch problem. check first if you have fluid in your clutch fluid reservoir, or if its cable make sure that the cable is pulling the clutch lever for a reasonably long travel. there may be leaks in your clutch master or slave cylinders. If your engine behaves well during neutral. it has to be a clutch problem

Sometimes the alarm thinks the pos. battery cable has been cut so it kills the ighition. You will have to look in the manual to see how to reset the alarm. You may need a code. If its not the alarm, you may have blown a fuse or worse, fried the computer when you put the alt. in. start at the begining. Check the battery cable connections, battery voltage, alt. wires and connections. if the headlighys work but the car won't start, it's prob. not a "connection" problem.
