We both know that that's a reminder light to fasten your seat belt, the switch at the seat belt buckle is not making connect, check connection or possible bad switch.
Without checking the fault code there are 2 things that commonly give this, firstly check if there is any new scraping or light grinding noise from behind the steering wheel(there is a coiled wire that carries the connections to the wheel controls and airbag, if it fails the wires usually rub), the other common problem is the plugs under the seats, the computer checks to see if the seat is occupied and the belt is fastened, the wiring goes under the seat to the seat frame, put your hand under and check the connections ar home fully, wiggle the plug and socket (this needs both hands, akward to get them both under the seat)
you did'nt state year, make, model. If you are talking about the seat belt light, check your seat belt(the one with the push/release button. check this top to bottom for a broken wire. ckeck under the seat the harness may be damaged as well. If it is the air-bag light bring it to your mechanic. air-bag circuits should be touched without the right knowledge and tools.
