thats not the reason y....i have the same truck and its a button either on your dash its for when its weather conditions like rain etc. it just tightens the steerin you press it to dis engage the HOLD light off...thats right between the speed o meter and rpm meter

Just changed my horns on my 98 Montero Sport and come to find out it was the horn relay. The horn relay is located near your power steering resivour its a small black square you will see some electrical lines running to it. Give it a couple taps and then try out your horn again. If that dosnt work your horns are located right behind your turn signals on your front bumper, they are circluar 3in and golden colored. You can get dealer ship replacement horns for 30 plus dollars or go to a autozone or advance auto and get aftermarket ones
