Send the valve settings for a toyota 3L engine

Valve setting? Most engine valves have an automatic adjuster to self adjust the setting. You didn't say you had it apart. So, I'm thinking you have a dirty condition that would make the adjuster or valve tap. If so good additives just for both those conditions can restore the adjusting by cleaning and freeing the ailing parts. Try the link below for more info and needed product. Self adjusting 4.9i computer in ford f150

The computer doesn't self adjust or relearn in that way. That is beyond its limits. Relearning has to do with tiny amounts of difference in fuel trim for the injectors. Idle is more controlled by the idle control motor or valve.

Does 1966 mustang 289 have self adjusting valves?

If it's a "K" code hi-po 289, then it has solid lifters and the valve clearance is adjustable. If a standard 289, then it has hydraulic lifters which are zero clearance and self adjusting, i.e. there is no adjusting screw on the rocker arm.

Hi We have a Horrible rattling Noise from Beety Its been advised Tappets are needing done What does this involve & Can A Dealer In Central Scotland Be advised What damage? can I do by contiuing to...

The tappets are essentially little levers that make the valves move up an down to allow fuel and air to enter your cylinder and exhaust to exit the cylinder (essentially connect the valve to the cam shaft). The tappets may be adjusted by screws, shims or even self-adjusting hydraulic lifters.

The risk is that you will damage the valve seat (where the valve contacts the cylinder head to close the cylinder area during compression and combustion).

A dealer should be able to adjust them for about 150 quid if they are not the self-adjusting hydraulic type. If self-adjusting feature is broken, then price will be higher..
