Hi. There is a grey plug with 6 wires right behind your OBDII diagnostic port on the lower dash board above your accelerator pedal.
The color of the wires on the plug are blue, green, red, white and brown. The wires are as follows:
Blue....electric trailer brake feed
Green....brake pedal switch
Red...12v postitive...always hot
White....ground
Brown....interior vehicle illumination (not used)
The factory wire harness that you will need to attach your brake
controller will plug right into this plug. The factory wires are
colored the same as above.
After-market and brake conroller wires are colored as follows:
Blue....electric trailer brake feed
Red.....brake pedal switch
White....ground
Black....12v positive
Hi, Any good auto shop or gas station could sell you a fuse. The issue is whether the fuse is in-line with the red wire ( this wire is the positive 12 volts DC) that feeds the rear connection of your cigarette lighter, or whether the power comes from the fuse box. An inline fuse is a glass cylindrical item with metal ends, whereas the fuse box fuse is a plastic tab with two metal prongs. See here for fuse info: http://www.ehow.com/how_3384_replace-electrical-fuse.html http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/howto/articles/45791/article.html
Have look at you car user manual if you don't know where the fuse box is. It is often located under the steering wheel side of the dashboard, and sometimes in the drivers side kick panel under the dash. Ensure you buy the correct size fuse. In the glass type is will be printed on the metal ends eg 5A means 5 amps. The plastic tab type fuse is rated by color and will have the amps rating also stamped on it. Do not put a larger fuse in than is already installed. For eg don't replace a 5A fuse with a 10A one. Cheers, Steve
Sounds like you need a light tester. I would guess that at least 8 of the wires are speaker + & - the others will be Main power and earth Possibly electric ariel, Memory store and a wire for the anti theft circuit. Assuming the stereo is factory. Any Audio shop can perform a test to clarify the purpose of the wires Wouldnt worry about the blank its probably a position for a newer or different model to yours.
