This code refers to an internal throttle body fault. I have experienced numerous of these problems on this model. Most I have found, are due to oil contamination inside the throttle body caused by a plugged PCV system allowing oil to be pushed into the intake system. The repair I perform to correct this issue is throttle actuator replacement ( oil gets into the electronics/motor ) and PVC system cleaning. This is a relatively expensive repair to correct this problem. However, there are a variety of other reasons that may contribute to this code and the aforementioned may not apply to your vehicle
Just a note Paul. If oil gets in these, so can you. You may work at a shop that just replaces them. So do I. Except for the ones they can't get. Then they give them to me. Oil,water and corrosion all conduct electricity. Most times cleaning is the fix, sometimes it takes a bit more. Just something to think about. I take those high dollar parts and fix them, then resell them. Sometimes to my employer.

To reset the radio you have to leave the key in position one (the radio will come on, but the dash lights are not on) with the radio on for at least two hours. It can take up to four hours to reset.
Make sure the climate control and blower are in the off position to keep the battery from running down. Eventually the radio will say "code". There is a four digit code that is unique to each radio, if you don't have it you must contact the local Volvo dealer and have your VIN code. The VIN code is locate on the far top/right side of the dash, you must be outside the car to see it. It will begin with something like YV1LS...................
When you get this code from the dealer you input the code using the radio preset (1-6 buttons). If the radio says code again that means it is the incorrect radio code. Most likely the radio has been replaced. Then it would be alot easier to take it to the dealer since the radio has to be removed and the serial number taken off the radio chassis unit. Usually most dealers will do it for free if they think you'll come back for services, so just tell them you just bought it and be nice, hopefully it will work.
