This was common around 2000 isn when bloutooth was still n it's relative infancy and so was expensive to fit to cars whilst not being that reliable. I used to sell range rovers with this and the problem was that the phone companies didn't do second sims with the same number. Many clients took a second contract sim for the car and set the main phone to auto divert to the car if it was not answered

I have a o2 card stuck in any old credit card size card sim holder ie new cards come like this before you pop your sim out to fit in a phone.. all it was to get it to work was the eject button above the sim slot had not come fully out when sim was inserted got my nail under it and pulled it out further while sim inserted ha presto it now works fine with the o2 card pay as u go hope this helps any one
you can purchase a "universal" unlock sim wafer on ebay for about 10 bucks...place it between the sim card and the phone sim contacts and it should work. I've got one in my nokia and use it with a telcel card from mexico...no problems ...it was an att phone..
I have got a Volvo v70 t5 with a telephone inbuilt, the only thing is i cant seem to find where you put a sim card, the manual says there should be a slot under the keypad but there is not one there
I have the same car/phone the sim card on mine is part of a large orange (coloured) card and it slides into a slot in the bottom of the phone. arthurg.
