U1000 means modules on the data line have stopped seeing communication with a module. U1064 is a communication code for the BCM. It may be faulty or not communicating for some reason. If it has been changed it needs to be programmed.

1998 s10 4cylinder turns over and fires but will not start I have New fuel pump and New timing set and I get etc codes u1000 & u 1064 need help plz

U1064 = Loss of Communications with DIM.
U1000 = Class 2 Communication Malfunction.
This sounds like the electronics somewhere in the system is struggling to communicate with the main ECU, ( the car's brain), so it's gone into a safe mode to protect the car. Something has been disconnected when the work was done and the electronics either can't find it or doesn't recognise it when it was reconnected.
You'll probably need good auto electrician to help you fix this issue.

Why do I have all these codes on in my 04 Pontiac grand prix gt. U1000,u1300,u1016,u1064,u1096

There is a Pontiac Technical Service Bulletin addressing your exact issue, right down the the same exact codes you are getting. Here is the information I gathered and I will place a link to the page where I found it. You will need to scroll down the list of TSBs to find your specific one. Apparently this is a problem for the Grand Prix.

Here is the basic data:

TSB Number: 0308116001 NHTSA Number: 10002880 TSB Date: February 1, 2004 Date Added to File: September 30, 2003 Failing Component: Electrical System Summary: Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1000, U1016, U1064, U1096 or U1305 set in error. This bulletin replaces previous bulletin dated 06/01/2003.

I have a saturn L200 2002 model that will turn over but only lasts 2 or 3 seconds then die.I just recently went to auto zone and they gave me codes v1000 or u1000 and u1064. Can you tell me what these...

The u codes, both are and no v code, indicate communication link problems, most likely between the main computer and the body control module. A Saturn tech claims the bcm is a very common failure on saturns. You need to get it checked out, pretty sure you will need a new bcm.

2000 chevy s10 wont keep running many scan codes

Your truck has an antitheft system called passlock. It runs thru you bcm. When this system fails, your truck will start for 1-5 seconds and then stall. The fuel enable is switched off, and injectors fail to squirt. This may be your problem and is a "bypassable" problem. This link explains.

1999 pontiac grand am not charging

Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) U1000 has a generic description of "Class 2 Serial Data Link Malfunction".
DTC U1064 has a description of "Loss Of Communication With Body Control Module (BCM)"
These codes can be caused by a malfunctioning charging system and should be ignored for now.

DTC P0562 has a description of "System Voltage Low". So this code basicly is only verifying that you indeed have a no-charging problem and that the other codes are most likely also caused by low system voltage.

Although these codes do verify that you have a charging system problem, they are useless in finding out exactly what is wrong with your charging system.

You will need a scan tool that is capable of 2-way communications with the PCM and performing system tests. you will also need a digital multimeter to test the system as you command the generator circuits on with the scanner. If your scanner can do this, let me know and I will get you the troubleshooting instructions for your vehicle. Otherwise, you will have to take it to someone who is properly equipped to diagnose your charging system.

What is code u1000 and u1064

U1064 Lost Communication With Body Control Module (BCM)

U1000 Class 2 Data Link Malfunction

Do your door locks, power windows, etc. still work? I'm assuming this is for a Pontiac since that is the picture that comes up with your question. I'm still getting used to this new site.
