Remove the throttle body.

Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

Remove the MAP sensor (1) from the intake manifold (2).

Depending on the year of this vehicle, will determine whether it has one. No matter, the MAF sensor is located on the air tube going into the motor. 3 or 4 wire unit in the air flow path to the motor. Earlier models may only have a MAP sensor. (Manifold air pressure) this sits in the intake. Goggle a picture of it and look for it. Part expensive, so you want to prove its not working before replacing.

The map sensor is on a bracket between the firewall & the inside valve cover. It has a 3 wire plug on it & a vacuum hose that goes to it.

The map sensor is located on the side of the intake manifold plenum. Look to the left of the power steering fluid canister and you will see it with a 3 wire connector. Hope this will help you.

Both are attached to the throttle body. Tps is on the other end of the throttle plate shaft opposite the linkage, MAP is on the side...has small vacuum hose underneath and is flat, about 3" long. The other item on the TB is the idle air motor, next to tps.

VERY SIMPLE!!!!!

4.7L The MAP sensor is located on the front of the intake manifold. An O-ring seals the sensor to the intake manifold.

1. Disconnect electrical connector at sensor.
   
2. Clean area around MAP sensor.
   
3. Remove 2 sensor mounting bolts.
   
4. Remove MAP sensor from intake manifold.
   

To Install:

1. Clean MAP sensor mounting hole at intake manifold.
   
2. Check MAP sensor O-ring seal for cuts or tears.
   
3. Position sensor into manifold.
   
4. Install MAP sensor mounting bolts (screws). Tighten screws to 3 Nm (25 inch lbs..) torque.
   
5. Connect electrical connector.

Hi, The Map sensor on a Suburban is located.
Beside of the ignition coil. on the intake.
Is a litle sensor with a connector of 3 wires.
