I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Drivers seat won't go back only forward. Need help fixing or taking seat out. Is there a video?

    Let me also add the I moved the seat all the way up before I realized it wouldn't go back and it is not drivable now

    Thank you Ted! I ended up using a socket wrench and was able to move the seat back for a quick fix.

Hi Maryann:
Seats are usually bolted to the floor so removal involves kneeling on the ground (with the door open) and looking under the seat. Use the appropriate socket to remove the bolts and the seat will lift out. There may be some wires to unplug.
You will probably find that the slide mechanism is jammed or a spring has come off. Repair should be straightforward.

If the light in the luggage area works, you have a burned out bulb at the back seat. The fuses are all in the same fusebox but the interior lights won't work at all, if the fuse is gone.
