Hi Maryann:
Seats are usually bolted to the floor so removal involves kneeling on the ground (with the door open) and looking under the seat. Use the appropriate socket to remove the bolts and the seat will lift out. There may be some wires to unplug.
You will probably find that the slide mechanism is jammed or a spring has come off. Repair should be straightforward.

Let me also add the I moved the seat all the way up before I realized it wouldn't go back and it is not drivable now
