so engine power lacks ! , no engine or VIN told.
ever get a full tune up in 22 year?s
spark parts? filters (air/fuel) ?
fuel pressure way low>? a test with a gauge.
check engine lamp on , engine running?y/n
if yes ,scan the PCM now. any obd2 scan tool.
or is transmission only stuck in 1st gear.?
but 1st gear does have full power (limited by that gear)

Plugged catalytic converter. No exhaust out, means no air in. Pull the O2 sensor in front of the cat, if power comes back, replace the cat. It will be a bit loud, but won't hurt anything.

If the engine is still running put lacks power, look for a restricted exhaust system. The catalytic converter can get plugged. The muffler can collapse inside. Check the air filter. If the engine wants to die, check fuel filter.

if the catalytic converter is plugged,you will have low exhaust output.
The only sure way to tell is to disconnect the cat and see if the power changes.

It sounds like you catalytic converter has gone bad and needs to be replaced. If your old engine ran real bad with oil passing through your exhaust more than likely the catalytic converter is bad

Check the fuel filter (could be plugged) or it might possibly need a new catalytic converter.
