2007 pontiac g5 gt just had ignition replaced due to recall now 48 hours later it wont start. . battery fully charged

ignition replaced ???? Ignition switch , the electrical part or key lock cylinder and key ? left switch on 10 minutes ???? That won't work on your vehicle ! Light's lit on insturment cluster ? Car with padlock symbol ,check engine ,service engine soon etc.... The starting system on your vehicle is computer controlled as many fuctions are ! The ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module . Your best bet , take it back to the dealer .

What could be wrong with my 2006 Chevrolet HHR?

Sounds like a programming or electonic problem If it was to replace an ignition switch, the dealership may have flashed the computer with the wrong information to operate you vehicle or match up with the replaced part.. You will most definitely have to take it back.

Ignition problems, with my 96 mustang

There were problems with this switch.. there was a recall. I just replaced one a couple of weeks ago.. sounds like you should replace the Part the key goes into and replace the actual electrical part of the switch. Really not too hard of job, you must tale off the steering column trim shroud and then you can get at the parts you need to replace. I purchased the switch at NAPA auto parts they had the best price and had the switch for me the next morning.. Was only about $15. I suggest you either go to library and look at Chiltom Book.. Or possibbiy buy your own book if you plan on keeping the car.

1998 Honda Accord replaced ignition wiring 2 weeks ago had no problems. Now I can't start. It cranks but won't start. No green Key light on dash at all now.

Replace the ignition switch that screws onto the back of the lock cylinder, they were a very common problem and actually subject to a recall. You could phone a nearby honda dealership with your VIN number and they may replace it for free.

When i start the vehicle and release the key, the starter hesitates to disengage and momentarily keeps on turning over.

you have a ignition switch problem. when you start the car,and release the key in the "start" position, the switch does not kick back, as it should. you have an ignition switch going bad. nothing to play with,as it may cause fire in the steering column. suggest you call the dealer as this may be a recall, and you did not receive the recall notice due to recent move,or mail issues.my neice has one too,her husband works for local law enforcement.please,if you find any default or recall, post it to fixya.com but i personally have NOT heard of any such recalls. thank you for choosing fixya.com

2002 Saturn Vue Ignition Cylinder lock problem

The keys on this vehicle have a problem with wearing down to the point where it's a pain to get them to work in the ignition cylinder. Examine your keys for wear and that may have been your problem since day one.
I have a 2004 Vue and I have the only key I got with it (used car) worn down to the point where it will no longer work in the back door and is a pain to use in the ignition cylinder. It also falls right out of the ignition cylinder when the car is running. I have a copy of the key that was made when I got the car which works just fine and doesn't fall out, and looking at the two side by side, you can see that Saturn's key has worn down substantially since I got it two years ago.

Key stuck in ignition

There a several recalls that deal with this problem, it seems that due to a defective part in the ignition interlock system at times the key not be removed from the ignition, it appears the issue is corrected by installing a new lock cylinder, to read the full text of recalls on this issue go to link listed below.
