Hi, if the car stay for long time the computer box lost memory. Now is not reading the key. You need to program your key again by BMW manufacturer. Also on bmw the alarm is connected to computer box too.
No power to something, no matter what, normally means a blown fuse. Check the fuse to it. The fuse panel cover has the diagram on the under side of it or would be in the operator/repair manual.
check battery cables.make sure they are not loose are or corroded.if battery cables okay.problem could be faulty starter - electronic immobilizer control - ignition switch + check its fuse first.if you disconnect battery cables besure to turn off radio so you wont lose code.
If your starter whines over it is obviously getting power so its not a relay problem, it is probably the starter solenoid that is sticking so the starter dog is not engaging with the flywheel to crank your engine. The relay sits on top of the starter low down on the engine at the bellhousing on the left side of the car!
you need to check battery supply most important. if the battery low voltage, cause no start. if the battery ok & strong energy. maybe the drive away protection control if this is the problem you need to bring to BMW dealer to replace control & ENCODE the control unit using SSS.
