Oil red light showing on dashboard with beeping sound..what does that mean

Read your owners manual it will tell exactly what they are. A low fluid slsymbol could be your winshield wiper tank is low on fluid or it could be your coolant level is low in your engine. Try filling the windshield fluid first if the light goes out, then there you go. Become aquainted with your owners manual.

I don't own a Chevy, but the description sounds like low brake fluid. Dashboard lights normally reserve red for brakes- I believe that it is a standard of some kind.

the oil light shows ORANGE LOW on oil:
the engine managment light shows when engine sensors detect faults shaped like an engine ORANGE light
head main beam BLUE when ON MAIN BEAM
indicator FLASHING GREEN light
hazard warning RED light
brake fluid low light RED looks like this ( )
brake handbrake ON RED light looks like this ( )
side light GREEN looks like a star
most of the important lights are RED or ORONGE gerry

beeping means warning. check seat belts, hand brake, gas, oil, water, etc.

It could simply be maybe the person changing your oil never reset the light? or you have a oil pressure sensor leaking or not working.
most of the time its someone never reset the oil change light. even before it goes on it goes by mileage, so maybe it didnt go off yet cause you cnahged it a tad early.so noone even tried to reset it.

I guess you could have an oil pressure problem, but thats going the extreme route.. but if nothing else shows that could be a problem.

have the oil pressure checked...

Is the problem just indication or a real problem?
Check oil level.
