SOURCE: A/C blowing hot air in 2005 Lincoln LS

It could be the dccv or the evap. discharge sensor, driver's temp sensor or pass temp sensor. Without hooking up a tester to read pids there is no way to tell. I would recommend going to someone that has the ids tester to read pids. good luck.

SOURCE: 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt in "limp home mode" code 606

P0606 indicates Control module internal performance. GM is indicating of the replacement ECM. Once replacement is completed reprogramming the ecm is necessary. Locally a few auot parts stores can reflash the ECM.May want to check with a NAPA or Carquest for this otherwise dealer is probably the only option.

  • Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil. Record the remaining engine oil life.
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  • jsmes1027_30.gif
  • Disconnect the small engine control module (ECM) harness connector (3) from the ECM.
  • Remove the bolt retaining the large ECM connector to the ECM.
  • Disconnect the large ECM harness connector (4) from the ECM.
  • jsmes1027_31.gif
Notice: Control module damage may result when the metal case contacts battery voltage. DO NOT contact the control module metal case with battery voltage when servicing a control module, using battery booster cables or when charging the vehicles battery.
  • Use the retaining tab to release the ECM from the underhood junction block bracket.

  • Reverse process for installation

2001 lexus LS 430 code says TPS so i changed it clear the codes nothing. Same thing code dont clear and it is in limp mode ?? How do you get it out of limp mode?

The problem has to be repaired first. Is seems to be an electrical short or a defective part. It should be properly diagnosed & repaired & the computer cleared. Limp home mode is gone with the solved problem. DONT CHANGE PARTS THROUGH COMPUTER CODES.

    LIMP MODE HOME

The O2 Sensors need to be changed at 100,000 miles,
before they fail & you get a MIL Lamp on your dash

Just the front (2) closest to the engine, at the converter inlet

The ETC Failsafe, is most likely bad COP ignition coils
Have to check for cylinder misfire count with a professional
scan tool in Mode #06,unless you want to spend a few days
walking a new coil from one cyl to the next

Always provide V6 or V8 in your question & lots of detail

2005 Lincoln LS in Limp Mode. I can start the car and it runs fine for about 10 seconds then goes into "limp mode" How can I reset this?

You have a very bad COP Ignition Coil, that is spiking the PCM (computer)
The spike comes back on the TPS Sensor, then the PCM doesn't see the
throttle signal your foot sent thru, the pedal actuator (gas pedal) ,so it puts the
car into ETC Failsafe, and you can only go 6 mph.

If you got no ETC Failsafe, on the bottom right side of the dash, tell me what you do have
I need all the codes,if you have a MIL Lamp on ( the one that looks like a wrench)

Does the etc engine fail safe mode engage when driving 20mpg or less in snow? I love 2003 lincoln LS. This question is not addressed in the owner's guide.

the engine fail safe [limp mode] engages for or when the engine/trans senses damage or something that can cause extreme damage[ no oil pressure] the limp mode is so u can safely get off road or to a service location
