Check the Mega Fuse right next to the battery. Open the fuse box, it's right there towards the battery black and about 2-3 inches long. It screws onto 2 metal terminals in the very front of the fuse box. Someone MAY have tried to jump start using one of the megafuse terminals, which is a no no. To check the fuse, need a volt ohm meter. Need to check continuity.

How do i know what fuse has blown after replacing battery? when i replaced the battery the radio, air conditioning, alarm, seats and door locks stop working, why?

All these are different fuses. It could be a main fuse under the hood. Square ones. You can look and see if they're blown. If they look the same. I would pull them out and reinsert them(corrosion). If the parts still don't work. Have the BCM read. Can't read the BCM, it has died. Batteries should be hooked up Positive+ first, then Negative-.

2002 grand cherokee, overland 4,7L engine doesnt

Hi Joko,

What you are describing is a failure of a main circuit. The first thing you should check is yo make sure that your battery is in good condition and that the cables are clean and tight. Let me know if yu find anything wrong there. Then there may be another main circuit problem. Check all of the fuses in your fuse block in the engine compartment. If any of these fuses are blown, it will usually cause several things to not work. If you find any fuses blown, DON'T REPLACE IT YET. Let me know WHICH fuse is blown and I can help you find out why it blew so you can get the problem fixed.

Get back to me on this and we will continue.

My 1997 buick lesabre keeps blowing fuses. first it blew the turn signal fuse which is a 20 amp replaced it with a 20 and it blew when i turned on the signal. put in a 25 to see if it would work and it...

I strongly suggest your first priority will be to discover why your tail lights are seemingly consuming many times more current than they should. A 30 amp fuse has less resistance than a 10 amp though the difference is hardly measurable.

I suspect when that is sorted out the other faults could disappear without further effort.

It is time to find a circuit diagram and to trace the tail light wiring from the supply to the lamps in order to discover what went wrong.

I have a 1996 jetta 1.8 with a factory alarm and i put in a new radio when i put battery back on after radio was installed the alarm kept on going off and i cant disarm it with remote button or when i try...

You alarm system monitor the radio. You basically disabled the vehicle when you removed the radio. You will need the original radio with the radio code and install it back. Your driver door lock is what turns it off and what turns it on. You have a 1996 Jetta find a electrical auto repair who is willing to do this (I do this all the time) Disable the alarm first get rid of the horn there is only on on the outer drivers side the alarm horn will have to be cut. From there acces the fuse box under the driver dash find the starter relay and bypass it. There your done no alarm and you can put any radio on .

Where do i find a fuse box diagram for a 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

There are 2 fuse blocks. The Power Distribution Center is under the hood along the passenger side fender and has fuses and relays in it. The other is on the passenger side of the dash and has fuses and circuit breakers.

My battery went dead and I exchanged it with a new one, but after installing the new one the radio and drivers side window stopped working, I took the drivers door panel off and found a front door module...

The radio may very well have an alarm on it. If it does, then disconnecting the battery to put in a new one can set off this feature, and make the radio unuseable until a code is entered. Does the radio ask for a code?
A memory saver (aux voltage input device) can be used to keep enough power in the system so it will not trigger a radio alarm.
If you don't have a radio alarm, then check the fuse for the radio, as it may have blown when reconnected.
Not sure about the window.

02 VW Jetta locks, remote, lights, windows stopped working

Same problem with an '03 Golf--remote entry, power windows, and interior lights stopped working. This was easily fixed by replacing fuse #14, (10 amp), located in the driver's side fuse block.
