SOURCE: Severe crunch sound with ABS system, plus ECS light goes on.

Good news,

Your noisy experience with your ABS and ECS is exactly what all of these systems do in icy, snowy, and any environment that causes your tires to lose traction. The ECS light when blinking or illuminated is just informing you that the ECS is being activated to let you know your traction is limited.

I have an Elantra and have driven my GF's '06 Sonata many times. I live in MN and it does the same thing with snow etc. and so has past cars i've owned such as Subaru Legacy, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Toyota Camry.

With ABS it does seem to take quite some distance to stop in icy or snowy conditions. When it's dry it's impossible to beat.

SOURCE: abs brake sensor

sound like you have a bad abs sensor , you can have this problem checked out by a mechanic with a OBD2 /ABS scanner they should be able to tell you which one is bad or if the ABS module is bad as well

SOURCE: I wonder Strange sound in ABS after that ABS light came on. what suppose it happened???????????

just the ABS pump kicking on and off. Have the codes read. Could be a bad wheel sensor or broken wire.

Guys how would i know if my nissan pulsar 2004 with rear abs break or not ?

If the ABS light is on, then you would have a problem and then you have to read the ABS Lights

If your Brakes are not working properly then you have an issue.

One Sure way to check your ABS... SLAM on your BRAKES and if it makes a Strange Sounds (kinda like tat-tat-tat-tat-tat). Then they are working

Electrical Problem for '04 Chevy Trail Blazer-the ABS and Emergency Brake light will come on and ding. When this happens, the blower for my heat/AC stops working. It still gets warm, but the blowe

that is strange. for the ABS has its own relay and so does the heater blower motor. they do not share the same outlet , I would check the wire at the bottom of the fuse box

My anti lock brake light and my brake light stay on. I replaced the abs relay and still has problem. My daughter locked up brakes and spun around on the freeway and I think it is the EBCM

Sounds more like you have a caliper sticking or the lock up caused another issue. Double check the master cylinder and test the splitter module. It should not have locked up the brakes on the highway. ABS is supposed to reduce that from happening. This usually occurs when teh splitter module malfunctions.

1998 K1500 Suburban ..... on hard/firm braking, brake pedal pushes back (like ABS problem) and the pedal becomes difficult to depress. However on gentle/less aggressive braking issue is less apparent. No...

SOUNDS LIKE YOUR ABS IS ACTIVATING it will not set a code because computer thinks it is doing what it is supposed to do. so what is most likely happening is a wheel speed sensor is dropping out causing unit to see one wheel at zero mph and abs kicks in. need a scan tool hooked to it to see which one is causing issue

The ABS light on tha dash went on and the blower went off and lights dimmed. How bad is this

sounds like your alternator is not charging. abs light could be a low voltage code, blower off- i'm not sure. possibly a power surge which could have blown the blower motor relay. never seen that happen but i suppose it could be possible. are you sure the the battery light is not on? red light that looks like a rectangle? battery light on means bad alternator.

ABS kicks in at strange times or brakes fail.

You may have a bad wheel speed sensor.

Abs light emergency light stay on

Hi, You should check for a sligt break fluid leak from the break light switch (attacked to the master cylinder). Yeah, I know this seems strange, but on my 2001 this leak caused all types of problems with lots of dashboard indicators. The leaking switch was a recall for Ford Trucks, but not the minivans. Hope this helps
