2002 Cadillac escalade I want to remove the Rear bumper cover to get to the license plate lights assembly to add new ones.

Remove the wheels if possible.
Remove the two clips from each side (by pulling up the center).
Move the fender liner away to access and remove the 7 mm bolt that is near the corner.
Unscrew the four cargo anchors from the floor of the trunk.
Move the trim panel and remove the 4 10mm bolts.

To get to the license plate lights assembly, you can follow these steps:

Open the rear compartment lid and locate the license plate light assembly inside the trunk lid.
Above the license plate, locate four Philips head screws holding the license plate light assembly inside the trunk lid.
Remove the screws (caution: in winter, plastic is extremely fragile and can break easily).
Once the screws are off, your license light assembly is loose inside the trunk lid.

Trunk lock

You will have to get the trunk open. Remove the cable or rod from the cyl. Plastic clip holds it in place. Just twist it back. Pull out the clip that looks like a U and holds the cyl into the trunk. You can still close it, just push sideways on the lever to open it. Just won't be able to lock it!

Help how do i change the license plate bulb on my 2004 corolla?

I just replaced my 2 bulbs an hour ago in my garage.
1. Pry off all the clips that hold the liner. I used a cloth covered spatula, so
as not to chip the paint, to pull out the liner a little bit and used my
index and middle finger to pull back the clip and the liner, very slowly to
prevent breakage. When all the clips are off, the liner will fall, no need
to remove the emergency release handle.
2. Press the tiny release lock that hold the wires in the socket and pull
out the wires, carefully.
3. Turn the socket 1/4 the the left carefully, while putting a little pressure
upward, then the socket will release.
4. Pull the bulb staight out and replace it.
5. Reverse the procedure and voila! A ton of money saved!!!!!!
MVC.

How do I replace tail light assembly on 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe?

To remove the tail light assembly to be replaced, you need to access the fasteners from inside the trunk.

Remove the black plastic retainers holding the trunk liner in place on the side you wish to replace. Once you have removed the retainers, peel back the trunk liner in the area you will be working on. Disconnect the light bulb sockets (be careful not to break any bulbs). The tail light assembly itself is held in place by 4 - 8mm nuts on the bolts that protrude about 1/2". An 8 mm deep well socket works well, but an open-end wrench will do the same job, just slower. Some of these also hold the wiring in place, so take note of where everthing goes. To put it all back together, just reverse the process.

Battery location on a 2005 BMW 545i?

The battery location for a 2005 BMW 545i is in the trunk. Open your trunk, and on the right side of the car (passenger), look for two black plastic screws (flathead fit) along the paneling. Use a flathead (from the tool kit amongst the trunk lid), or a paper-clip to turn both of these plastic screws 90 degrees, you should be able to pull these out with your fingers afterwards. The plastic screws hold in the protective paneling, you'll have to to lift up trunk-liner (covers your spare tire), then pull the paneling outwards; underneath, you'll find the battery and terminals.

I want to change my reverse lights.how do i get to the harness?

In the trunk behind the lights you should find a series of small black plugs in the trunk liner. Carefully pull (or pry) these straight out and peel back the truck liner. You should then have access the the clips or nuts that hold the taillight assembly in place.

How do I change the right license plate bulb. Do not see easy access from plate area in trunk. Or do I pop off piece around bulb on outside to change? 1995 Lexus ES300

this ones kind of tough for an amateur. You need to pop off most of the little black retainers holding the trunk lid liner on. then theres the emergency handle that you use to get out if your locked in the trunk. you need to pull on the far end of the handle and the outer cover will come off. you may need a small screwdriver to remove it. then pull straight down, really hard and the handle will come off. then remove the rest of the liner. the bulbs are 194a bulbs. available pretty much anywhere. reinstall in the reverse order.

Tail light replacement is not as hard as it seems.
Tools needed:flat head screwdriver and a deep 5/32 socket(a pair of pliers will work).
