1986 Honda Prelude; why does the 10A fuse burn, even so the ignition is not turned on?

Issue happened without touching the relay, or changing any bulbs, four way flasher must be the same fuse, as they don't work either -so far I only checked around the fuse panel, but notice nothing unusual,ie. burned/shortened wire(s),

Thank you all for your help, but I found the problem for the cause in the blinker switch itself.

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1986 honda prelude 2.0 si

Not a single person answered your question, they all told you an answer that didn't relate to your question. Anyways the relays for your fuel pump are under your dash behind the fuse box.

Have 1997 honda prelude w/ honda accoustic feedback system sterio, the anti theft light is blinking and stereo will not turn on to put in code for re-use. dont have manual. disconnected battery and...

first check fuses. check fuse 18(7.5a acc) in the under dash fuse/relay box. then check fuse 46(15a(typesh)10a), and fuse 43(7.5aclockradio) in the under hood fuse/relay box. if all fuses are good then you need to make sure you have 12v on the white/yellow wire(batt) and the white/red wire(ignition) on the blue connecotr on the back of the audio unit(the wht/red wire will only have 12v with the ignition in on or run.

My engine cooling fan runs even when the engine is turned off-Do you think it is as simple as changing the relay? Much appreciated, Joe B-

The engine fan circuit is separate from the ignition system and it is perfectly normal for the fan to sometimes be off while the engine is on and sometimes on while the engine is off. It should turn itself off independently. If it runs 24 hours a day without starting the engine then the relay or water temperature sensor will need replacing.

All electronic accessories work when key is in

test power at the starter's power wire. If there is voltage, replace starter. If there is no power, check fuses/relays, if those are fine, check ignition switch (there is a recall on this since 2002). Typical symtoms of ignition switch failure on these vehicles include: Some warning lights not lit when key is turned to ON (ABS, battery, check engine, oil light etc.), Intermitted hard start/No start, stalling while driving, intermitted guage failure. If it is an ignition switch failure, call your local honda dealer for possible free repair under the recall(have your VIN# at hand). hopefully this helps

I have a 1986 prelude that won't start.

DOES THE CAR SOUND LIKE IT WANTS TO TURN OVER AT ALL?

Why are you having to jump it? Bad battery...too weak....weak battery not supplying enough juice to the starter to turn the motor over....
