Jaguar 2007 check engine light comes on an stays on plus when stop at light it cuts off.why an can u run rel gas if not but yoi did put in rel gas will octane plus help ot run better .

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.

You could be running to high of an octain for fuel. Try running your car with the sugested fuel rating and see if that works. Sorry there is not enough information with your problem. Good luck

yes the gas cap could cause this,also check evap. purge solenoid and hoses for cracks or kinks,the solenoid is on the inner fender and has 2 hoses, one to the intake and one to the canister, the most common cause of this code is a defective purge solenoid.
