Mar 18, 2011 - How to change oil pan gasket for 2001 sonoma, can i get away with just raising the engine two inches to ... 2001 GMC Sonoma • 4 cylinder 2WD Automatic • 150,000 miles ... You need to remove the engine to get the sump off.
Im sure your 95 is no different then my 01 sonoma 4x4 u shouldn't need a cherry picker to do the engine mounts a small block of wood and a floor jack to support the engine from underneath and take a little bit of the load off the mount should work you dont have to lift the engine out to do them its not easy this way but is possible and cost less money working for a gm parts department and a former tech you would be spending and average of 75 to 100 an hour labor wise depending on what shop u take it to and what shop labor rates at like near you I would estimate an easy 2 hours labor but it all goes by book time thats or determined at the shops
Well the fuel pump for a 4 cylinder is about $270.00. Depending on there labor rate this may be a reasonable estimate but it does sound a little high. The six cylinder pump is around the same price. If you can find someone who knows how to drop the tank then you can eliminate some of your labor cost. So $740.00 for labor thats a rip off.
Visit autozone.com and register the vehicle. It doesn't cost anything and will give you access to an online repair manual for the truck. The steps for replacing the water pump should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Ok 8th digit is a 4, that means you have a 2.2L engine. you will find your water pump located on the drivers side of the block just below the cylinder head. It is driven by a belt so it has a pully on the front of it that kind of hides it. there is no hoses attached to it as it pumps the coolant through the block.
