Just test drove car with 80,000 miles on it. Seems sluggish to go from a stop. Otherwise, shifts great. A common Volvo thing (never drove one before) or possible transmission issue? Thanks

Check the colour of the transmission oil --it should be bright colour and not smell burnt
run the fault codes as it may be engine sensor problems or TCM problems
Unless the timing belt has been changed ,it is 20.000 miles overdue for a belt change ( big money repair)
( volvos s60 --30.l,s80/t63.0l/3.2l, v703.2l, xc60/t63.0l/3.2l,xc70/t63.0l/3.2l, xc90 3.2l) all run timing chains
Have an independent inspector check the vehicle over

Bmw 2006 325 wont engage shifting

Transmission is going bad, very common for bmw automatic transmission after 80,000 miles. A repair shop can fix the issue but I recommend new. This is the one issue that stopped me from getting one and getting the 300srt instead.

When should you change cam belt on volvo s60

Well, most belt companies and aftermarket folks recommend 60,000 to 80,000 miles on a timing belt. You have an interference engine which means if the belt breaks while the engine is running it could damage the valves and pistons. So I would recommend doing it soon.

04 cts transmission fluid never changed now at

Do nothing if everything seems OK. Drain and refill, but never flush, you will stir up gunk in the pan, if you have hard or sluggish shifts

Test drove 04 Saturn Vue and seems to have problem shifting. Is this normal??? How do we know if it is the transmission

If it has a four cylinder engine and it is an automatic, stay away from it. They used a variable "non-shifting" transmission in four cylinder models into 2005. They are known to fail and in most cases will stop moving altogether. If you don't feel it shifting while you are test driving, this is actually normal for that type of transmission.

If it is a V6 then there might be other issues not related to the transmission.

2001 vw cabrio automatic transmission

I'm dealing with the same car. I just had the transmission completely overhauled. Very$$$. The mechanic told me that it's common for cabrio's to develop this problem between 80,000 and 100,000 miles, mine happened around 95,000 miles. Knowing what I know now, I would have sold it.
