There are a couple of ways. Either from the top or bottom of the car. Depends on what tools you have.

I need the alternator / fan serpentine belt diagram for my 2002 bmw 325I. Thankyou

Look up your car on RealOEM.com. It shows the belt shape when installed.
Good that you asked. I understand that it is physically possible to get it to fit with the alternator spinning backwards.
I presume that you just replaced belts and pulleys. A 2003 would be about due.
Be glad you don't have a 330 rather than a 325. The 330 is just enough tighter space to make the job about four times as difficult. (I have both).

Can you tell me how to remove the serpentine belt on a 2002 bmw 325i?

Make sure you take note of how it is installed, as it can sometimes be difficult to work out where it should go.

You need to release the pressure on the belt, by adjusting the tensioner.

You should find a diagram somewhere in the engine bay, that shows how the belt is routed. The tensioner is normally indicated on this diagram.

I think on your car, the tensioner pulley has a hex bolt on it, which can be loosened, to move the pulley. The tensioner pulley applies pressure to the outside (smooth) side of the belt.
