How 2 connect a 4 pin relay to my 1990 2e toyota corolla headlights?

Don't bother. Chances are you'll melt the housings. 100w bulbs get much hotter than 60w.

Troubleshooting engine

Hi Stephen, The problem with the idle speed being to high could be with the cold start up idle motor, located on the throttle body, more especially if the idle speed is erratic with surges of increasing and decreasing speeds. If the idle speed is high and without surging the problem could be a broken or loose fitting vacuum pipes. Check to make sure all are fitting tightly and they are not cracked, broken or loose. Lastly there could be a problem with the intake manifold gasket.Lack of power could be related to the above, or if your vehicle is fitted with a distributer, the ignition timing may require setting. If required, the job must be carried out with a stroboscopic timing light and a bridge connecting T to E1 inside the diagnostic socket (usually located on the fire wall above the gear box side of the engine. Paint a spot a white paint on the timing cover on the TDC mark and another in the notch on the crankshaft pulley, Start the engine and leaving it idling at 650 rpm loosen and adjust the distributer by aiming th timing light at the front pulley, moving the distributer until the painted marks align with one another. Lack of power can also be due to poor service, a clogged fuel or air filter or a fuel pump becoming lazy (Though this is unlikely as they either work or fail) Have the engine cylinder compressions tested.and make sure it is with specifications. Hope this info is some help? Regards John

1996 Toyota Camry rough idles any suggestions?

The age of your vehicle guarantee's a vacuum leak. It may sound silly but the truth is rubber grommets and hose's shrink and dry out over time and the harsh environment under the hood makes it worse. Check all vacuum lines and fittings attached to the intake manifold, valve covers(pcv valve), and be sure to check for a vacuum fitting on top of the intake just behind the throttle body. Does it fit tight in the hole? You can seal loose fittings with a high-temp RTV (Red) silicone sealant/adhesive. Several small leaks add up and your engine, heat/AC, will be all to glad to tell you about it.

My van leeks water alot from wear the bottom raideator hose connects to the transmisson . I guess thats wear its connected to? how can it be fixed?

You should be able to replace the sections of tubing (available at the auto parts store)
and use radiator type clamps instead of those cheezy factory ones. If the fitting itself
is leaking, you may take it out and use some teflon tape (white plumbers tape)
to make the fitting more secure. If all else fails, I have retapped these with a
pipe tap by having someone hold a vacuum to pull the chips back, then installed
a brass "hose barb" to threaded pipe fitting in place of the original fitting. The pipe tap
size depends on the fitting size itself. (Last one I did was on a ford and that was 1/4
inch pipe tap). You may need to open the hole to 7/16 inch with a drill (Gently of course).
The auto parts store should carry these items as well, but any hardware store should carry
the taps.
Hope this helps.

Where is the carbuerator on a 1993 toyota corolla?

if the engine is a 2E type, then it will have a carb directly under the aircleaner on top of the engine.there a 2 types of carb basically on this model, one is conventional type venturi, the other has a bell shaped body lying sideways. If the model is an FE or AG type engine, then it is fuel injected,no carburettor, the aircleaner will be off to one side of engine, connected by a long air duct.check engine/model ID plate usually on the rear firewall for engine code.eg:1E,2E,3AFE,4AGE etc
