I have 2003 infini fx45 The speedometer is not working. I can not find the speed sensor. Any thing will help please. Thanks

Hello Jay,

Your speed sensor is going to be on the output (final drive) of your transmission...

I went to RockAuto (Locator service also provided by AUTOZONE) to see if they had a position or a picture = DO NOT even have the part... Oh well.

Just look for two or three wires on the output side of the transmission (black plastic... single bolt hold in (see picture).

Where is the speed sensor on a 2007 cad dts?

The wheel speed sensor is located in the hub assembly, one on each wheel hub. The vehicle speed sensor is located at the rear of the transmission near the output shaft on the right side of transmission.

Were is speed censour located

the output speed sensor is located on the transmission. while standing in front of the vehicle and looking down at the transmission you will see two rubber hoses. under those hoses you will see the input speed sensor. if you look to the right of that sensor, and you may have to look from underneath the vehicle you will see another sensor that is identical to the input speed sensor. That is the output speed sensor. The output speed sensor is the one that shows how fast you are moving on the speedometer.

How to locate speed censors on volvo s 80 t6 2002

There is an input & an output speed sensor. There are also a couple of different transmissions as well. Wish the pictures were more clearer or more detailed but this was all I had to work with. The first picture is the location of the input one on both transmissions and of course the second picture would be the output sensors. Hope this at least gets you in the general area of the locations.

Where is my speed sensor located?

Hi.

The vehicle speed sensor or VSS is located on top of the transmission, on the output shaft. This sensor provides input to the speedometer on instrument cluster. There are also 4 wheel speed sensors (one on each wheel). Their primary function is to detect wheel speed to control ABS.

Below a picture of the VSS sensor:

Transmission input output speed sensors

The speed sensor is on the tailshaft of the transmission,on the passenger side of the car,it has 3 wires. The output sensors are located on the front of the transmission about mid-way up the housing & only have 2 wires. Note the output sensors are not responsible for vehicle speed. Only the output shaft speed is recorded. They are for finding the correct cvi(clutch volume index) only. If you have a cvi issue, the transmission is toast.
