My service ride control light was on my display and car was riding really low in the rear. figured my struts were going bad. turned out my fuse was blown for my ELC(electronic leveling control) and car was riding heavy when it blew, so it was stuck riding low in back and it almost fooled me into buying new struts($$$) Figured a fuse couldnt be the problem but checked just in case, and thats what it ended up being so that is the first thing I would check before I spent any money. lets hope your problem is this easy to fix. Good luck.

CSP, It sounds like you have a vacuum leak that is causing the IAC ( idle air control ) motor to move in and out trying to control the idle. Check all vacuum hoses on the engine for disconnect, cracked or damaged. If the hoses crack when you bend them, they need to be replaced.
Let me know what you find and we can go from there.

YOU HAVE ADD THE WRONG FREON ALL CARS MADE AFTER 1996 USES R/134. FLUSH THE SYSTEM, ALSO CHECK THE BLOWER FAN FOR DEBRIS
SOURCE: I HAVE A 1995 CADILLAC ELDORADO AND NEW BATTERY WONT CHARGE
A sitting battery has about 12.5 volts. A running engine should be around 14 volts. If less than 13 alternator is not working.
In my area Autozone, Kragen & Pep Boys will check alternator for free.
If alternator is working and battery still ends up dead then something is draining battery when engine off. This takes more advanced troubleshooting.
Remove all fuses. Put ammeter in series with battery add fuses one at a time individually until ammeter shows a circuit drawing more than one amp. (clocks and computers will use very little power)
