I own a 2003 1-ton, and the heat and a/c directional knob no longer switches from defrost to floor etc... It is stuck on vent, great for summer a/c but not for winter defrost. What is the fix?

There are two types of controllers for vents. Vacuum and electronic. Losing vacuum results in being stuck on defrost. So I will assume your's is electronic. First you will have to check to see if you have power and ground to the controller. A volt/ohm meter will check this. If you have both, then I would say the controller is bad.

I have heat but no dash defrost or floor heat

it could be a bad switch... it could also be leaking vacum lines (vacum is what operates the dirictional doors). it could be a stuck door, or bad hinge. it could also be loose ducts underneath the dash.

Fuse diagram 1996 grand prix

On a 1996 model you probably have vac actuators that control air flow. Look under the dash and you may be able to see the actuator that controls flow to the defrost and vents. There would be another one for temp control.

No heat or defrost in my 2000 mercury sable

If you are referring to the air won't blow through the defrost vents or on the floor, you may have a stuck or broken blend door actuator. This part diverts air through the different settings: defrost, vent, floor etc. If you aren't getting warm or hot air regardless of the settings, you may either be low on coolant or have a bad thermostat.

Ac air is not blowing from main vents

I am guessing here as I don't know which control unit you have, but I believe you may have the one like in the video and the video shows the repair you will need to make. Hope it helps.
