Unless you have had the fault codes read , then you have wasted your money with a tune up
Take it to an accredited service centre and have the codes read
check for a faulty cat converter blocking the exhaust

At the speed you are indicating for this problem to happen, it could possibly be a torque converter clutch/solenoid malfunction causing the clutch to engage/disengage at the improper times resulting in the jerking feeling you are experiencing. Have the vehicle scanned for any transmission codes that may be present to point you in the right direction

2002 chrysler sebring car jerks at 30 mph drives fine before and after that thou.

Re-tighten your gas cap after turning the gasket upside down or purchase a new one. Sounds simple, but it worked for me on my Sebring and on my wife's PT Cruiser.

My 97 Chrysler Sebring Convertible will start and take off fine but when you get to about 45-50 MPH it starts cutting out and jerking , what might cause this?

Have you done a tune up too the vehicle, thats a good place to start. A plug or coil could be having a hard time under load.

My 2001 crysler sebring convertible is shifting hard. the guy up at autozone says its the shifter control module. anyboyd know where that is ?

It doesn't have a shifter control module. It has a transmission control module. But the problem you likely have is that you need to run a quick learn reset on the TCM. You will need a scanner to do this or have a shop do it for you. You need to reset the adaptive memory of the TCM and run it through quick learn.
