SOURCE: removal of the driver seat of my 1988 acura legend

I'm not certain of the layout of the bolts on your particular model, but there should be 4 bolts, one at each end of the seat tracks (the things the seat slides back and forth on), attaching the tracks to the floor. You may need to slide the seat back to access the front bolts, and forward again to get the back ones. Tilt the seat back right forward to allow you to get the seat out the door. If the seat has electric controls there will be some plugs to disconnect under it. If there are any yellow coloured plugs, DO NOT disconnect them without disconnecting the negative terminal off the battery and waiting for 5 minutes. The yellow plug is an airbag system plug, and if the battery is not disconnected the airbags could potentially deploy. Make sure the battery remains disconnected for the entire time that the yellow plug is disconnected, and reconnect the battery AFTER the yellow plug. If there isn't a yellow plug, don't worry.

Hope this helps.

I will require more information on this issue. Like how do you mean it won't move. In forward as well as reverse, does it try to move, etc.

SOURCE: 1993 Acura Legend Overheating.

This could happen if your fan is indeed weak.  To test disconnect the thermostat of the radiator by removing the terminals near the radiator hose towards the engine.  You should see the fan run at its highest speed, then you can check if your fan has weakened.

SOURCE: Can you disable car alarm in 1991 Acura Legend by

If it's a cheap aftermarket alarm, check for a red wire coming off the hot side of your battery with an inline fuse. If it's not, try to locate the alarm "computer" under the driver's side dash or nearby your fuse panel. You'll find a black box with a wiring diagram glued to the side, normally strapped to a wiring harness or other fixed element. If this is the type of alarm you have, you'll need to trace each wire coming from the alarm computer and unclip each fastener that's clipped to your vehicle's factory wiring. The trouble with these types of alarms is that they can get power from a number of sources (stereo, interior lights, etc.). Good luck with this one!

SOURCE: how to remove starter from 1991 acura legend

Follow the battery wire (disconnected) to the starter and remove the nut and solenoid wire. There should be two bolts to the bellhousing (a old term for the transmission to engine piece).

When you turn the starter you hear the starter but it seems not to engage to the flywheel

sounds like the solenid is stuck. tap the starter a couple of times with a hammer and try to start it to see if it loosens up. if that does not work, you may need to remove the starter and have it checked at your auto parts store.

Location of the starer on a 93 accura legend

Hello! The starter on a 1993 Legend is very well hidden. It is behind the left drive axle.

I'll give you the removal steps to give you a better idea.

Disconnect the wires from the starter motor solenoid...

Unbolt the bracket from the starter motor...

Remove the left drive axle (see chapter 8 in a Haynes repair manual)

Remove the forward section of the exhaust system (chapter 4)

Remove the starter mounting bolts and carefully maneuver the starter motor from under the vehicle.

As you can see this is a very difficult job.

Good luck.

My 93 acura legend wont start. Ticking sound??

That sounds like a dead battery. The ticking sound is the relay (a type of switch) which enables power to the starter motor when you turn the key. If the battery is weak, the relay will click, but there is not enough power to turn the starter motor.

Clearance to remove 93 Acura Legend starter

you can either remove driver's side halfshaft or battery tray and alternator to remove the starter. i chose the halfshaft, since it gave a little more room to unbolt the starter. no need to drain transaxle when removing driver's side halfshaft. unbolt balljoint and tierod end from knuckle. i also removed the pinch bold that attaches the strut to the knuckle to allow more movement to remove the axle. axle nut is 36mm. use a large screwdriver or small prybar to gently pry the halfshaft from the transaxle, be careful not to damage the seal. upper bolt on the starter is really tough to get access to...
