Check power and ground at the coil with the key on. Always a possibility you bought a bad coil.

96 nissan altima gxe runs good until it gets hot then stalls

I've been there.... A nightmare!!!

Your prolem sounds as the classical Hot Coil problem with no solution. Next time when engine stalls, check for spark, touch the coil and the ignition module. If they feel hot to the touch (can't hold it), chances are there is too much resistance in the High Tension side of the ignintion circuit.
This means the circuit from the coil to the spark plugs has too much resistance. Since you already changed everything I have to ask a question: Is everything as original specs??

When I had this problem it resulted that the gap between the terminals of the distributor cap (new) and rotor where to big, This created great resistance which heated the coil and quit sending spark.

Perhaps there is something in the High Tension circuit which is out of original specs. Is the gap in spark plugs correct?
Try an old distibutor cap. Do the metal contacts in the spark plug cables touch the metal of the spark plug contact?
Does the metal contact from the cable touch the metal from the coil's contact? Are they dry?

Check things which can create a gap where electriciy has to "jump" to complete its way to the spark plug. These are the ones which cause the hot coil and hot module trouble.

No. spark will not start

check see if coil getting power.if no check ignition fuse if yes getting power at ignition coil.either ignition coil is bad or thick film module on distibutor faulty.ignition timing way off or you have worn distributor cap and rotor. worn spark plugs and wires.

My peugeot cj 205 1990 has no spark

The problem is likely the ignition control module and or the distributor pick up coil. I don't have any exact info on replacing these parts because we don't have this make of vehicle in the US market anymore, when we did we only had the gas 405 and 505..

Not firing on #1 cylinder. 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, In-line 6 cyl. Swapped ignition coil and installed new spark plug. Same error code. Where does the signal for the ignition coil to fire come from? Is...

{: ) It is the engine control module that gives signals to ignition coils . Visually inspect the wirings for the #1 cylinder. But I still suggest that your vehicle be thoroughly scanned to monitor the different parameters and data present on your vehicle.

My car turns over but has no spark 1988 OLDSMOBILE 98

If none of your coils are firing then it is possible you have lost the ignition module. It mounts under the coils and is not hard to change. Good Luck

No spark from ignition module on hot start

95 JEEP WRANGLER 4 CYL

No spark. I have changed out the distributor cap, rotor, wiring from coil to cap, and coil was replaced. I checked the distibutor by turning ignition key and observing the rotor turn. What else can I check. I did not observe a module.
