What dies it mean if your car hesitates and acts like it wants to stall when stopped at redlight?

This happens when i go to accelarate. 2004 Chevy Trail blazer. 6 cylinder

Was the battery recently disconnected? Was the battery recently disconnected?

This is an easy fix, just need to know if the battery was recently disconnected for any reason.

Battery was disconnected and replaced last week. I have a bad crankshaft position sensor thst needs replacing at this time.

SOURCE: car dies when stopping or slowing down, hesitates on acceleration

check for a vacuum leak,you could possibly hear a whistle under the hood,or you can spray starter fluid near the intake manifold where the suspect leak could be and if the engine accelerates it has an vacuum leak,try the simple things first,can also be a clogged PCV valve,it is in the valve cover somewhere and it will have a rather large rubber hose going to the intake manifold

SOURCE: Vehicle sputtering and missing likes its going to die at stops

It could really be any of those things. Those are normal wear and tear items that would be changed in a tune-up, when's the last time you had one?

check fuel pump pressure.it should be 41 to 47 psi.

The car will run fine for about 10 minutes then it will stop accelerating???

I have a 1990 chevy beretta which is hesitating to start & also as you are going down the road you can feel it missing or cutting out. then it also dies when you stop at a redlight. the crank sensor...

transmission torque convertor solenoid is bad locking the transmission and stahling the engineout unplug the harness on the transmission ull be fine ... 4 the stahling and missing while in park u might have faulty fuel injectors

My 2006 corolla is having a hesitate/stall symptom when idling at a redlight or when I let off the accelarator. I have changed spark plugs and coil packs...any ideas?

The throttle body probably needs cleaning, grime has built up on the throttle plate.

2004 CROSSFIRE 52,000 MILES, CAR STALL AT IDLE, HESITATES WHEN PUSHING GAS PEDAL DIED TWICE WHILE IDLING. INJECTORS? FUEL FILTER? AIR FILTER?

This happened to me at 53,000 miles. Its your air flow sensor. This runs at about $200 for the part plus labor.
