To start with it will be high vacuum reading as suction is low pressure
secondly it means that the system is vacant of any gas and is well below 0 psi
if it is a high discharge pressure ( after the ac compressor) it means that the condenser is not being cooled by the fan or you have excessive gas in the system or the tx valve is blocked
I strongly suggest that you seek the services of an accredited ac specialist shop as r134a gas runs at a lot higher pressure that the r12 or r22 gas before you do serious damage to the ac compressor and system

SOURCE: How do I convert or fill 92 Jeep Cherokee air conditioning freon?

If it leaks 134 it will leak R-12 .I have changed hundreds of systems over to 134 without any complaints. Don't let the 94% eff rating of 134a scare you because that does not mean that your ac system will lose 6% cooling ability .A large class 8 truck or maybe a high roof van black on black and poor insulation might tax the system in the 90% range on 100 degree days but most systems never get close .
134a high side pressure will be about 18% higher so most systems you need to change the high side cutout. The R-12 electric fan switch will be ok just make sure it is engageing the fan when the pressure comes up.You must check the condensor in front of radiator to make sure air flows easily thru it.On systems where the hoses screw on each side of the dryer I replace the dryer .Drain oil from compressor and replace with 134a oil .Replace that bad valve core (with ac valve core not a tire valve) Now very very important vaccum the system and if no loss of vaccum in 20 min charge with manufactors recomended amount of oil and freon. If a system is low on freon (cycling in & out on low pressure switch) you can add a pound of charge with those small cans of same type freon no problem but when there is a leak and the charge has been lost or changing freon types you must pull a vaccum to properlly charge the system. If you just charge R-12 or 134a your system will have traped non -condensables and a large drop in cooling ability. Hope this helps. Harold

SOURCE: AC has freon (134a) pressure is good. Compressor

Have a code reader or scanner put on the car to erase all codes, this should reset the ac system circuit. Also check the low side clutch cycle switch,it may be the problem.

2012 elantra gls air conditioning electrical cirquit. clutch not getting signal to turn on

By pass clutch signal by appling +12vdc to A/C clutch directly - check for proper suction side pressure with A/C gauge connected to suction side of compressor - if pressure is low clutch will not be energized do to low pressure cutout switch. Add freon or 134A to bring up suction side pressure. https://www.6ya.com/callphilipforhelp

What causes high pressure on the low pressure side of the a.c. unit

Low side and high side pressures are high. Usually indicates an over charged system. do you have a charging guage! if not, go to any auto parts store to get one. advanced auto, auto zone ETC, this guage will tell you the correct amount of freon to put in it, on the low side only.

My lincon is bloweing nothing but hot air what could be roung

Well for the airconditioner to work you will need freon 134a.You will also have to inspect for leaks at the air conditioning hoses. If your low on freon the system wont turn on if you full of freon then a low pressure switch or high pressure switch or even the airconditioning pump maybe the solution

I need to replace freon in my 1998 Acura 3.5 RL. Does my car have 1 valve or 2?

It will have two valves. One Suction and one discharge. Follow the tubing from the compressor out, one will run to the front of the car (smaller of the two lines) this is the discharge line (high Pressure) along this line will be a valve before the condenser coil. Follow the large line from the compressor back to the firewall area and along this line ( this is the low pressure or suction side) you will find the suction valve. This valve is the one most folks use to check the system pressure. Hope this helps.

2003 suzuki sx awd. during hot days 22 celsius, turn on a/c and loud rattling noise starts when car is at standstill at traffic lights. no rattling when on the move with a/c on. any good diagnostics will...

This hjas a possible two part problem, the first part is the a/c compressor has a clutch on the end of the shaft and is engaged with the a/c compressor switch turned on, which means while the car is running, you turn on the a/c and walla, you get cold air(as long as it is fully charged), the belt drives this clutch which in turn spins the inside of the compressor and starts to mechanically **** freon into it through means of the low(suction) side, the larger diameter port, once low pressure freon either 134a for everything built after 1994 or freon r12 for cars built before 1994 enters the compressor it is then compressed into a high pressure liquid which has a high pressure test port that is always smaller in diameter then the low side (fill) port.
When the clutch is engaged, it will only slightly rattle after it gets a few thousand miles on it however as the vehicle gets more useage and the a/c gets more useage(considered extreme condition useage) more use then normal vehicles would otherwise get, the clutch starts to wear out causing this rattle. A clutch head puller is used to remove the clutch can't do it without the proper tools, the belt must come off before doing the replacement.
Any parts store will have the tools and the clutch, you don't have to release any freon for this repair.
Another reason for a rattle could be the a/c system is low on freon and oil.
Buy a freon charge kit with a one pound can of 134a freon + oil combo and with the car running and a/c on high blow full cold attach the charge hose and freon into the low side port, rattle should cease soon as the vehicle reaches is full charge, should't take more then 2 pounds(cans) of freon, system hold 2 3/4 pounds empty each can is one pound.

How do I fix a Air condition blow out hot air?

Go to your local auto parts purchase a a/c charge kit for about $69.00, find the low pressure(suction) fill port, there are two ports in every a/c system one is a low pressure side used primarily to fill a system with freon 123a or the like and it is the larger valve mounted on the line, then there is the dangerous high side valve, this is a smaller diameter valve mounted to a smaller diamet a/c line, this is under extreme pressure so donot attempt to fill this high side with freon as it can backfire on you and cause injury.
The low side fill kit will not fit on the high side port so thank godness for that.
start the vehicle put the a/c on full cold high blow fan speed, start filling the low side with a can of 123a freon+oil additive, which equals one pound of freon and check the inside a/c vents, getting cold? If its perfect then you are done, the system may have a very small slow leak and if it only takes a one pound can to fill it once or twice a year you are ok, if it takes more you may want to add a second pound can of freon 134a containing a dye additive that will work its way into the system and show you where the leaks are by exposing a color once it hits the air coming out of the systems defective seals etc.,also they sell a sealer + freon one pound can that can be used to try to fix the leak without having to get too expensive on the repairs.
A car's air conditioning system only hold like 2 3/4 pounds of freon, so in the event you happen to over fill the system a high pressure blow valve usually mounted on the a/c compressor will purge off the excess, but let me warn you they blow off without any warning and can startle you. Always think safety first, wear protective equipment. Work Smart, Work Safe.

I have a 99 chevy suburban that won't cool past 60 degrees and when idling is at 70 degrees. I have replaced the a/c compressor, orfice tube, the accumilator, rear expension valve, and fan clutch. My low...

These numbers are a little high depsite the high ambient conditions.Amazingly enough ,automotive low side suction pressure will equal the degrees its putting out at the evaporator coil...for instance,70 psi low side pressure will produce about 70 degrees of cooling. At 300 psi on the high side(which is high) this is about as low as the suction pressure will go....you need it to go lower.I would probably be concerned with the freon level as a slight overcharge could boost these numbers.Poor air flow through the condenser can also create a higher head pressure than desired. If possible,I would evacuate and re-charge the system with the correct amount of 134a refrigerant. Try to get those pressures lower...about 250/50 would be a decent pressure value in this ambient condition.Verify good airflow through the coils and pay close attention to any foreign debris like plastic grocery bags or wrappers covering the coils...Ive even seen these make their way between the small gap between the condenser and radiator so use a light and inspect carefully for this.Air flow through that condenser coil is vital and any deficit there will create high head pressure which obviously causes high suction pressures....good luck
