My 2006 Nissan navara str. The speedo has stopped working and so has the odometer and the trip meters how do I fix this?

Since your speedometers work, the problem is in the gearing to the trip and mileage odometers. Simple problem, major pain to fix but, remove instrument cluster - you'll have to remove speedo cable to get it out. Use the old Mark I eyeball to check for broken parts. Might even have to drop steering column - disconnect air bag first!

You need to replace your speed sensor. It is located on the transmission, usually held in by 1 bolt, and has a wire clip attached. It is usually a easy repair, but sometimes the old speed sensor doesn't want to come out easy.

Remember, what is heard as turbocharger noise may not be caused by a noisy turbocharger. Before replacing a turbocharger perform the following diagnosis.
A. If a loud whine or whistle is heard during acceleration and increases or decreases with rpm and load. This condition is most often the result of a loose clamp/hose at the turbocharger compressor outlet, charge air cooler inlet, outlet or at the intake manifold.

1. With the engine running at idle and the transmission in Park or Neutral with the parking brake set, feel for boost air escaping at each connection between the turbocharger compressor outlet and intake manifold. For limited access areas, spray soapy water on those connectors and look for bubbles.

2. Check the exhaust manifold and exhaust system for leaks.

Hi- happened to me last night. You will need to replace fuse number 7 (Vehicle Speed Sensor). It's a 10Amp small blade fuse
