you have blown the fuse or fuse. check the fuse box in the car and in the engine bay. 1995 model has a main line fuse in the little fuse box in engine bay. if it did this from the radio the radio fuse will have blown as well.
May have to remove the unit & take to a car radio shop to have it repaired Those shops are very hard to find, but will fix it If you don't pull it out yourself it will get costly & no repair shop fixes radios & tape deck,so forget that approach
Your aftermarket radio should have color-coded wires which identifies power, ground, speakers, etc. most depaetment stores carry a radio harness adapter kit. This will connect to your radio's exact color coded wires, and will plug right in to your factory's wiring plug. And don't forget electrical tape.
hi there,
if the sub has quit working nine times out of ten it is the factory amp that has gone out it could be the speaker but very unlikely hope i have answered you question the best i can have a wonderful day and thank you for using fix ya
You can buy conversion harnesses from anyone that sells radios. It plugs into your factory plug and then you splice the aftermarket stereo wires to it.
The antenna wont go up because you have a tape in it, you will need to remove the radio, the belt inside may have broke, you will need to take to radio repair shop or replace it.
The switch inside the tape player needs to be cleaned or replaced. The dealers send out all radois to a repair shop that is an authorized repair facility to perform this type of work. Shop mechanics do not repair radios or tape decks at any dealer I know of. It may be far less to replace your ciurrent unit with an aftermarket one unless you want to keep your factory unit instead. Many top shelf radios are out there and most can be found at stores like Best Buy and even Car Max these days
The amp relay is in the Relay/Fuse box located under the hood. The amp relay is the one labeled NBS which stands for Name Brand Speakers.
If you are trying to install an after market radio in a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country, you may notice that no sound comes from the speakers. This is because the single wire that is connected to the factory radio sends a signal to the Bus which tells the relay to turn on - powering the factory amp.
I bypass this by running a wire from the red Acc power wire on the radio to the relay. Connect the wire to pin number 87 on the relay. When standing in front of and facing the van, pin number 87 is the pin, on the NBS relay, which is closest to you and furtherst right.
Are you looking to replace the amplifier? or bypass the speaker wires??
Usually factory amplifiers in vans are under the P/S Front seat. However they can be up under the dash as well (P/S).
If you're looking for it because it is not turning on - check the relay (as above).

I've had this same problem many times and it is usually due to a power wire touching metal grounding itself out you should check the harness and maybe the wiring before and after the harness, I'm sure you will find an open wire or cut some where try that. Sik
I'm not a Lexus pro but having done car stereo installs, common places are under the seats front or rear, or in the trunk well somewhere. May also be in the dash behind the deck.
