2015 silverado key not being recognized

I deleted the AI Bot answer and have modified it below. In cases like this though, the problem can only be diagnosed electronically using an auto electrician and a pro grade scan tool computer.

  1. Faulty key chip: One possibility is that your key chip is faulty or damaged. Over time, keys can become damaged, which can cause problems with the ignition switch. You may want to try using a spare key to see if the problem persists.
  2. Battery issues: Another possibility is that your truck's battery is weak or failing. If the battery is not providing enough power to the ignition switch (12.4 volts minimum), it may cause the system to malfunction. You may want to have the battery checked and replaced if necessary or at lease clean the terminals inside and out with a wire brush.
  3. Ignition switch transponder problems: The ignition switch may be faulty, which can cause intermittent starting problems. If the ignition switch is failing, it may not be able to recognize the key properly, leading to starting issues.
  4. Wiring or electrical problems: There may be issues with the wiring or electrical system that are causing the starting problems. Faulty wiring or connections can cause the system to malfunction, leading to issues with starting the truck.

Sounds like the immobilizer (SKIS) has been activated. To disable it, you would need to plug in a Chrysler scanner (DRB-III) with current software and input the appropriate PIN number (available only from Chrysler upon proof of ownership. Your best option at this point is to contact your local dealer

Car still won't start

Don't remember posting anything to you, But, regardless, first a question... Can you turn off the flashers
at the switch?? Do you have an alarm system? (if so, possible malfunction there) Otherwise, check battery grounds and connections (other ends of cables from battery) if you have one, check start relay&or starter solenoid!
