Check the engine in neutral/park and depress gas and confirm engine is slow to rev up. If the engine revs in gear and little or no movement have the transmission checked.

this car is likely a drive by wire.(no cable between gas pedal and throttle actuator motor) Some one needs to observe the throttle to see if it advances when the gas is depressed.

The simplest analysis would be the connection to the engine computer with not a simple scan tool but a Chrysler proprietary analyzer to see the interaction of throttle position and engine RPM

we dont have KBs in USA> this is a usa forum. so...
so the operators guide says.
CEL on get service.
or if handly DIY guy, SCAN IT yet? that is what the lamp means.
SCAN me now. on all cars 1988 to now, in usa,
and 2001 and newer on other countries. varies by country....
as does EFI systems used,.... big time.

Check the operation of the waste gate actuator. Mine had corroded to the point it was not moving. The engine wouls start, idle but no revs when the gas pedal was depressed.

i had the same prob on a toyota check out the fuel presure if its good its prob the fuel regulater i think it should have around 32 psi but call and double check that

All of the symptoms that you have talked about point to a fuel pump that is starting to fail. I would take it to a mechanic and have the fuel pressure checked. It is a simple procedure and should be rather inexpensive.

i think the computer chip in your key is bad or going bad.
You might have to replace the battery in the key or the chip depending what you have

if direct fire injection, EFI?
get it scanned yet?
check filters yet?
check fuses yet?

that shaking is called misfire.
and on diesel that is bad fueling.!
or way worse a bad engine,(compression test it yet?)

no the high pressure oil pump is the injection pump. may run off the timing belt or chain.

SOURCE: engine won't idle

The Idle Air Control (I.A.C.) valve is bad. This allows the vehicle to idle with no pressure on the pedal. Replace it.

Black smoke means buring rich. Have the vehicle's ECU scanned for codes and do the repair the codes describe. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say Mass Air Flow Sensor.(MAF)
