What is the biggest tire I can put on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500?

Your Dodge Ram 1500 had options for 3 different rim sizes. They were 17", 20", and 22" rims from the factory. the largest wheel recommendations for handling and speedometer accuracy are as follows;
17" rims = 285 - 70R17
20" rims= 275 - 60R20
22" rims= 285 - 45R22
As a tire size rule, the first number is the millimeter distance from the road to the bottom edge of the rim such as the 285 then the second number say the 45 is the percentage the difference the width is to the height of 285mm. The letter R stands for radial and the last number denotes the size of the rim it fits on.

Recommended tire pressure for Michelin Ltx265/70R17(121/118r)

Depends on the load put on the tire by the weight of the car, look in the glove box or door jam for tire pressure details. it may also be in the drivers manual.

How to check rear shocks

Lean all your weight on the rear bumper with your knee. quickly release the weight and watch as the car comes back up. If it rises back to level and stays there your shocks are okay. If it bounces up and down, even a little, replace the shocks (always in pairs). Also you will want to check your springs, coil or leaf, for broken leaves or coils. If the shocks and springs are okay you probably have an "out of round" tire or one with seperated belts. Have a local tire shop check the tire for you on a balance machine, or block the front wheels, jack up your car with the trans in neutral, and spin the tire. If it is out of round it may be fairly apparent. Hope this helps.

Tire air pressure difference P to LT

I would think so. P stands for passenger and LT stands for light truck. The store that sold the tires should be able to get the correct recommended pressure.
You went down from 17 inch to 14 inch rims ??

What is the difference between tire size 255/70 and 265/70

Hello Projocs03,

Tires are typically measured tire width (sidewall)/tire ride height/wheel size. The differences of the two tire sizes you published are .4 of an inch difference in width/sidewall. And about .55 in over all diameter which would impact you revs per rotation. Depending on your wheel size.

Attached is a comparison of the two given the variable of 17" rim.

I added the above link so you can research further or change any variables you need to know. However, the most important thing to understand is the impact of your speedometer. Different sizes will have different impacts. For example going to a bigger tire will show a slower speed on your spedo that your traveling.

Good luck

2007 suburban dash is saying stability system disabled what does this mean ?

{: ) Check for excessive wear on any of the tires on the vehicle and then verify that all the tires are the same size, brand, and same model. It is also important to check and make sure the tire pressure is properly adjusted per the sticker on the door. The following examples listed below could cause this condition:
1. 2 tires on the vehicle are Goodyear P245/75R16 and the other 2 tires are Firestone P245/75R16
2. 2 Tires on the vehicle are brand new and the other two tires have excessive wear.
3. 2 Tires on the vehicle are Goodyear Wrangler SRA 265/70R17 and 2 tires are Goodyear Wrangler HP 265/70R17 (Same brand/different models)
4. Aftermarket Wheels and Tires (NON-OEM 20 inch wheels and tires)
5. Tire pressure is not properly adjusted.

What is the original size tire and rim for a 1997 expedition

The best way to find out is the door sticker on the driver side door.

There are two possibles sizes for that truck. The 16" rim or 17" rim.
The tire size is P255/70R16 or P265/70R17.

The factory sticker on the door jam on the driver side will tell you what it came out of the factory with.
