clutch is bad? what?
if you cant crank engine in gear, the clutch is bad.
hint, it can be the clutch actuators not the deep inside parts.

Car will crank but not start. so I pushed the car and popped the clutch in 2nd gear and it will not start either.

SOURCE: Suzuki swift Headlight problem

Have you checked to see if this is a wiring problem or maybe a relay problem?

Recently my lights would work on side lights and not anything else and this was down to dodgy wiring and needed a new relay unit.

My grandfather has a 97 Ford Crown Vic that used to do the same thing. He had the front end greased when he got an oil change and that solved the problem. So thats probably all you need.

Suzuki swift 1.3 single OHC runs fine when cold,

Check the valve timing. You might have some problems with your timing belt or camshaft sprocket. If timing is OK, check the resistance of your TP sensor, specially on the terminals for full throttle. Resistance should be 2 to 6.5 kilo ohms. Lower than this the ECM will not give the right avance ignition timing to your engine. Repositioning the mounting angle may correct the problem.

I have a 1992 5 speed suzuki swift where do I find the body ground cable that keeps blowing the ignition cable what does it look like and is a specific color

It sounds as though you may be missing an earth cable to the battery. There should be two cables running to the negative terminal of the battery - I think they're brown or black - and one should be bolted to the motor or gearbox, and the other to the body of the car. If the one to the motor is not connected, then when you crank the car, the circuit has to be completed by some other cable - probably in the wiring harness, or maybe by a speedo or clutch cable.
