2009 model 1600 petrol Rocam 200 000 kilos have never changed gearbox oil before
Castrol SMX-X would be a good oil for a gearbox with that amount of mileage and is a ford recommended oil

yes fully synthetic , the seals wont be affected by any oil its the age and wear that cause seals to fail , it's proberly good maintenance practice to replace the seals but not essential unless leaking , no need to flush out old oil just drain when warm being carefull not to get it so hot you may burn your self , hope this is helpful
