I guess this means your tail lamps for just running are out. Start with fuses, then bulbs, then light switch.

SOURCE: 1988 cherokee , my headlights, fuel gauge, and

check the fuse panel in the drivers side footwell, there should be a fuse for the instrument cluster, if not that check the fuse box in the engine compartment (top end of passenger side) there is usually 2x 30a fuses for the general ignition and power.

Breaklightes wont work

It is most likely the problem is with the brake light switch above the brake pedal arm. Check for power there with a 12 volt test light. Without the brake pedal pressed one side of the switch will light the test light, when the brake pedal is depressed both sides of the switch connector will be hot. Let me know what you find. You can buy a 12 volt test light at any auto parts store for about $5

Drivers breaklight not working replaced breaklight switch now wont' get out of park

The brake light switch controls all the brake lights. It will not correct a problem with only one light inoperative. One light out only may be a bulb/socket or power/ground to it. Not coming out of park ( Year/make/model didn't post ) is usually controlled by the brake light switch. Sounds as if the switch is not adjusted properly. MAke sure the brake lights come on when pedal is pushed

My breaklights and reverse lights are not working i replaced them with brand new ones and they still are not working i looked in the fuse box by the front drivers side door and there is no fuse for the...

You either have no power getting back to the lights or have 2 seperate issues going on. A faulty brake light switch can cause the brake lights not to come on. It is under the dash near the top of the brake pedal. You will know your looking at because the brake pedal will have a flat surface that hits the front of the switch.

I would start by checking for voltage at the tail lights when they should be on but aren't. A common issue for this is a bad ground at the lights themselves.

2005 Yukon breaklights and cruise control don't work. The breaklights bulbs are good, already checked them.

Brake light switch has failed replace it and the lights and cruise should work. When the switch fails it comes apart and the computer thinks the brak is on and the lights won't come on.Costa $20.00 and has a three wire plug on it and is simple to change.
