Norman, The ABS light is telling you there is a fault in the Anti Lock Braking system, could be faulty wire/plug,sensor, leaking/stuck wheel cylinder/caliper, etc. The computer in your vehicle will have to be scanned to find the fault, diagnosed and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

on my old 1996 blazer.. the little wire coming from the battery +
positive terminal goes to the ABS.
...this needs to be attached properly.
with some snowPlow setups. its a good idea to disconnect the ABS...so the truck will Stop.
....proper bleeding of the ABS brake circuit may be needed.
..best idea.........see GM dealer.
I would disconnect the negative cable on the battery so it can reset the abs module, on these cars when you change the battery you need to have a 12 volt supply connected to your lighter before you disconnect the battery so there will be no reset on any of the modules in this vehicle.. if that don't do the trick you need to scan the abs system to see if you have any hard codes or just to reset it with the scanner.. abs is for antilock brake system and tc is for traction control they both work out of the same module
Often when a code is stored, even after fixing the original problem, the code remains in the computer. You can clear the code, if indeed the problem is fixed, by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. If the light reappears, then most likely the abs wiring is not fixed or there's another abs problem.
If the ABS light is on, there could be a wheel speed sensor bad. The brake light may be due to low fluid, but this doesn't make sense since you just increased the level by changing the brakes. Maybe the parking brake is partially engaged or the lever is riding too low or high causing the brake light to go on.
If the E-brake light is in fact the light that is on. Then you need to find the switch that is attached to the lever. That switch isn't opening when you release the brake lever. Grounding that wire turns the light on. So either the wire is grounded or the switch is broken or out of adjustment.
While there is a LOT that can be answered here, a DYI on a ABS system should never be done unless you are a expert in the ABS systems. If you do get the light to go off, you need to be 100% sure its fixed correctly. next time you jam those breaks you may find out it didn't get fixed as you thought. Take it to a pro. don't risk it.
That's for the abs system only, not the brake lights. All brake lights are not working? Check the brake light switch (aka stop light switch), which is attached to the upper brake pedal, and has a wire attached to it. If it's shot, the brake lights won't work. If this is not the problem, let me know so I can help further.
