SOURCE: Need to see diagrams of the figs. 3-6 from a Chilton's manual...

My son came down and figured it out for me. Not sure what all he did but he had to make a few modifications by splicing the wires together after cutting the wires just under the dimmer switch...then a few adjustments were needed to get it to all work right.
Thanks

SOURCE: Daytime Running lights wont come on on my 2000 Grand Am SE.

Do your high beam headlights work? If you have a burnt high beam light the daytime running lights won't work and then the service vehicle soon light comes on.

1993 Ford Tempo head light relay switch located

I looked at tempo GL, 2.3L engine. I don't see any relay? I do see the headlamp switch and multifunction switch. The main light switch has an internal circuit breaker, if that is the problem? The multifunction switch is basically the dimmer switch. At headlamps, lower right in diagram, the top wires are voltage, hi and lo beams. The bottom wire is ground.

I have a 97 cadillic eldorado an my dash an interior light only work some times why?

Loose connection somewhere maybe. But to be sure, look at a wiring diagram for the electrical circuits for those thing's ,to see what all is involved . Could have a lighting control module or BCM - body control module that is in charge of controlling those light's . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click on interior light's dimming ! If the light's your talking about do dim . Could be dimmer switch problem. If not testing the electrical circuits using a DMM - digital multi-meter will need to be done . Voltage drop testing .

9004/9007 headlight socket on a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. Wiring colors are different for the three prongs. Have light blue, dark blue and red. Followed previous wiring but the new bulb is dim.

Use a digital multimeter check for proper voltage. You also need to check for a good ground. In the diagram, the top wire at head lamp is voltage, headlamp switch on. The bottom wires are ground. Your headlamp switch/dimmer are part of the ground circuit for headlamps. You might be able to use redundant ground with jumper wire to see if lamp will brighten? If it does, problem on the ground circuit, either wiring itself or headlamp/dimmer switch.

The main light switch should have battery + voltage all the time .You can go to http://bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! Shows fuse's , connectors an wires at main light switch an dimmer switch ! Suggest you go on youtube an watch a few videos on electrical circuit testing an how to read a wiring diagram ! Pull the main light switch out of the dash an test for B+ voltage an test at the dimmer switch too. Test the whole circuit !

No Low beam head lights and no turn signals or hazard lights. Already changed the multi function switch. What to look for next?

When you had the wiring loose for multifunction switch, if possible, knowing what color wire did what, using wiring diagram, I believe you could have used jumper wire to bypass multifunction switch to see if this or that system would work, if it doesn't, the multifunction switch probably wasn't the problem. On older vehicles it was probably easier to do something like that. Could be issue with wiring in steering column or clock spring, where applicable.Your low beam from dimmer switch goes through drl relay, with relay not energized. At the low beam head lamp, tan wire is voltage, black wire is ground.
