SOURCE: Hello accent 2004 with anti theft system battery flat anti theft

Have you verified this system is running the battery down? The system you describe is called the Remote Keyless Entry System (Electronic Time/Alarm & Control System - ETACS Module). It cannot be 'disconnected' without disabling other systems (intermittent wipers, Chime bell, Door Warning, Dimming Off Room Lamp, Seat Belt indicator, remote power door lock/unlock system, etc.)

How to reset anti-theft on a 2000 alero

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

P1801 and p1806 codes come up is there a easy fix 2000 accent

P1801:------- Immobilizer Transponder Error. ------------------------------ P1805/P1806:----- EEPROM Error/VIN Mismatch. ------------- In most cases the error 1801 and 1805 comes up together. But error 1806 is very rare. But 1806 and 1805 both are error related to same problem. P1801 and P1805/06 are immobilizer errors. Does your car have an anti-theft
device which reads a transponder in the key? If so, the problem is with
this system. T
he immobilizer problems are typically with the
lock cylinder sensor. --------------- Keep updated with further queries if required.Thanks.
