AC REQUIRES MUCH POWER TO RUN. MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE WORKS PROPERLY; WITH NEW AIR-FILTER, FRESH OIL AND CLEAN GASOLINE.

The AC compressor uses power from the engine, those engines in the Echo's make very little horsepower so the use of the A/C will be noticeable.

Testimonial: "I have had this car from the 4000 mile point on the odometer. So for you people with weak answers such as "the ac uses power" ... I know this. The power available has changed. But one common answer was dealt with by me. The mass air flow sensor. I purchased some cleaner for the sensor and pulled it out and cleaned it up. The problem seems solved. Perky again even with the ac on. Thank you everyone!"

2009 pt cruiser looses power when u turn on the ac

You are losing power when under load. Does giving Gas helps? if so check fuel pressure.
1. Verify the fuel pressure is 58 Pounds Per Square Inch (PSI). The fuel pump should be able to deliver a pint in 15 seconds and the fuel sample should be free of air bubbles.

2. Check for contaminated fuel supply.

Ac relay looses power in 15 seconds after I turn

Likely you are low on freon in the ac system and low pressure sensor on the compressor feed line is cutting out the ac system. Then pressure rises enough for it to turn on and it cycles again.

Why my car looses strength when i turn on the air conditioner?

This is pretty common for the engine to loose power when the ac is on,the ac compressor pulls down on the engine. If it is extreme, then the engine may have some problems,or the ac compressor is trying to lock up.If this was at all helpful, please rate thank you.

Dodge neon shuts off after i accelearate

a loose belt will not cause the engine to shut off. a loose belt will squeel. it almost sounds like the AC compressor might of locked up and it causing your neon to shut off. if your neon doesnt have ac or the ac is working properly then its something else.
