The transmission cods P07xx
it can be as simple as a wire fell off a solenoid, or pin rusty
to transmission slip.

the tests to find this are complex.
are you up to that
or read the FSM book, it covers this, in vivid complex details
so>?
try to void, all problems in live (or car) are bad sensors.
most times sensor are good, but the data the send is bad.
and is bad because, for example the transmission slips.
its reporting the truth. so... we do the on car tests shown in the FSM> ever seen one?
click ZJ
here
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

and see on car tests.
scan it, done
stall test pass.
the test drive pass? no slips. flogged hard ?
does the line pressure test pass.
solenoid coil resistances read right?

when diagnosing multiple fault codes it can be tricky figuring out whats going on for instance all three of the codes you have are an electrical nature and not mechanical faults in the transmission most likely they share a common power or ground circuit and have lost one or the other also if they do share any circuit and anyone of these are faulty it would generate the other codes. to do an accurate circuit check you should remove the transmission pan so you can check the terminals at the solenoids and switches on the valvebody because the problem could be in the "passthrough" connector

Are a 1993 4.0 liter high output 2 wheel drive Jeep Grand Cherokee countries have the same block as a 1990 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 wheel drive it also has the 4.0 liter engine but it is not the high...

the first grand cherokee laredo was in 1992 . it was all jeep sports back then, the blocks are all the same .you will need to use some of the sensors from the old motor, the distributor and oil sending unit and temp sensor. will be no problem. if I can put a ford ranger motor in a mercury sable your swap is easier

Inatallation: 4.0L Engine
New replacement sensors will be equipped with a paper spacer glued to bottom of sensor. If installing (returning) a used sensor to vehicle, a new paper spacer must be installed to bottom of sensor. This spacer will be ground off the first time engine is started. If spacer is not used, sensor will be broken the first time engine is started.

New Sensors:
Be sure paper spacer is installed to bottom of sensor. If not, obtain spacer PN05252229.

Used Sensors:
Clean bottom of sensor and install spacer PN05252229.
  1. Install sensor into transmission bellhousing hole.
  2. Position sensor wire shield to sensor.
  3. Push sensor against flywheel/drive plate. With sensor pushed against flywheel/drive plate, tighten mounting bolt to 7 Nm (60 inch lbs.) torque.
  4. Route sensor wiring harness into wire shield.
  5. Connect sensor pigtail harness electrical connector to main wiring harness.

4 wheel drive quit at some time didn't know it...drives fine only rear wheels pulling..could it be electrical ??

I hava a 1999 Grand cherokee loredo V8 with full time 4wheel drive. when the rear tires slip I am hearing a poping noise in the front end when the 4wheel drive engages. I was told by one person that it could be the chain in the transfer case slipping but I was told by a jeep salesman that this year jeep did not have a chain. Could this be the CV joints in the front axels?

How can i use the 4 x 4 in my 2000 grand cherokee laredo (6 cyl) i dont have the owners manual and i dont know how to use my 4x4 on snow or something like that

With the Jeep in park, move the left shifter to 4 wheel drive. Proceed to put right shifter into drive, proceed to drive. Only use 4wheel drive when neccessary...ie...snow, mud, use 4 wheel lo in steep incline or when really bogged down.

Hope this helps

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO IM TOTALLY BAFFLED

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)
