Sitting still running and just lost all electrical power, no lights no power to crank starter. sat still and all of a sudden the lights came on cause the light switch was left on, then it would start. turned off and ate and then tried it again and nothing like it was all dead. checked the starter wires all tight and ok. battery ok. no power to the fuse box. ran a wire from the positive bat to the big red wire on the back of the fuse box and i had power to the lights and it started, removed the wire and it all was ok all worked and i got home. turned the car off and then it would not start like it was no power on anything.. what's up, what happened. and where can i get electrical schmatics on this car??? help me..john
Do you know what fuse links are,and what they look like? usually down at the starter,the 2 or 3 hot wires besides the main battery cable all connect they feed the power to the fuse box,ignition and accessories,they have black square rubber blocks on them usually 3 or 4 inches from the starter they are built in fuses in the wires themselves check continuity throught them,if you already know about them ,the head light switch and the ignition switch are the first place i would look ,especially if they are original
